1. Nature of the Service
Camas People Search is a privately run reference service. It describes and links to public records, court indexes, directories, and official portals relevant to Camas, Clark County, and Washington. The service neither hosts government files nor represents any agency, court, or records custodian.
2. Acceptable Use Rules
You must use the service and information reached through it lawfully. Prohibited conduct includes using either to:
- Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm any person
- Locate a person protected by a restraining or protective order
- Commit identity theft or fraud
- Make FCRA-regulated decisions (credit, employment, tenant, insurance)
- Scrape, copy, or republish the site's content at scale
- Interfere with the site's operation or security
3. No Consumer Reports
Camas People Search is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. ยง 1681 et seq. Neither its content nor results supplied by a linked search tool constitute a consumer report. None may be used to decide eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another FCRA-regulated purpose.
4. External Services
Links lead to government portals and independent services, including sponsored tools. Each destination controls its own terms and policies. Its content, uptime, charges, and handling of data are outside our responsibility.
5. Warranty Disclaimer
The service is offered "as is" and "as available" with no express or implied warranties. We do not promise that its content is complete, accurate, or current. Nor do we guarantee that an outside portal will remain online or return a correct match.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent the law permits, we disclaim liability for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages tied to use of this service or a linked resource. This limitation includes harm resulting from reliance on records reached through those resources.
7. Indemnification
You will indemnify and hold the site's operators harmless from claims or demands, including reasonable attorneys' fees, caused by your misuse of the service or breach of these terms.
8. Copyright and Site Content
Copyright protects the service's original writing, design, logo, and layout. You may create page links and quote short passages with attribution. Republishing whole pages or systematically copying content is not permitted.
9. Revisions to These Terms
We may revise these terms by placing the updated version here. Use of the service after a revision takes effect constitutes acceptance.
10. Restricting Access
We may restrict or block, without advance notice, a user who abuses the service or violates these terms.
11. Washington Governing Law
Washington law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Government-record access referenced by the service is generally framed by the Washington Public Records Act, chapter 42.56 RCW, while courts and specialized record types may follow separate rules. Chapter 19.373 RCW concerns covered consumer health data outside HIPAA and does not create a general right to delete all public-record or people-search information.
12. Severability
If a provision cannot be enforced, all remaining provisions continue in effect.
13. Questions
