Camas people directories are spread among city, school, county, state, and historical keepers. A current public contact is most likely in a staff or board roster. An owner or recorded party belongs in a county index. Professional tools verify a public credential or business role, while cemetery, newspaper, and museum holdings reach people from an earlier era. No single directory covers every person tied to Camas.

Start with the source whose purpose fits the connection. A staff card proves a public role, not residence. A deed index shows that a name appeared on an instrument, not that the person lived at the site. A dated Polk directory or yearbook may support historical presence. Those limits keep similarly named people from being joined into one identity.

The Camas city directory filters by department rather than a verified person-name box. Its list includes Administration, Community Development, Finance, Fire, the library, Municipal Court, Police, and Public Works. Named staff and shared department inboxes can appear together, so read the position before treating a card as a person.

Landmark Web searches recorded parties by name, document, parcel ID, date, filing number, book and page, or legal description. A result can connect a name with a record type, date, reference, parcel, and uncertified image. It does not prove present occupancy.

The Property Information Center works from an address or nine-digit parcel account number. It returns values, sales, property traits, taxes, permits, and Auditor links. Owner-name searching is not on the public form. It is available at Joint Lobby self-service computers in Vancouver, the main offline name-to-property route for Camas.

The library moved 47 Post-Record reels for 1982 through 2007 and one Lacamas News reel for 1887 through 1892 to the Clark County Genealogical Society library because Camas had no microfilm reader. The source became usable by moving to the keeper with the needed equipment.
